NOTES: One or the early, grand London townhouses, demolished in the late 19C. The house was redesigned c 1713 to 14 by Colen Campbell after a disastrous fire. This print is from Campbell’s ‘Vitruvius Brittanicus’, first volume published in 1715. The design of giant pilasters over two floors was said to have been copied from the earlier Buckingham House.
CONDITION: Very good, small crease in TR outside platemark.
