NOTES:     An attractive print of Blenheim Palace, called ‘Blenheim House’ on this C18 print. The Palace was built for the Duke of Marlborough, to honour and celebrate his famous victory.
The print is from one of the editions of the well-known C18 compendium, ‘Rapin’s History of England’. The French original was published in Britain by Mr Tyndal, and was a very popular work. The prints from it are in general rather journeyman works, but this we think is above average.

CONDITION:     Very good, but the colouring is modern. It has a very light wash, and as it is an attractive print, we are offering it. Laid paper, good sized margins. A slight fold mark from being in the book, but the print has been pressed.
