NOTES: St. Mary's Abbey, York, remains of the West Front. This print is from a folio produced by the Society of Antiquaries in the early 19C, recording the archaeological discovers made on the site. The abbey remains can still be seen today, next to the Yorkshire Museum in the heart of York. Frederick Nash (1782 - 1856) is better known as a water-colour painter. He has nicely livened this view with children playing in the foreground. Printed by Hullmandel, the most well known lithographer.
CONDITION: Very good, two very small tears to margins.
