NOTES:     The Assembly Rooms, York, built 1731 - 1732.  A fine long section through the rooms and porch of one of the most important buildings in England. Designed by Lord Burlington. The print first produced for Colen Campbell's ‘Vitruvius Brittanica’, this print was reproduced in Francis Drake's ‘Eboracum’ some years later. The building still stands in the heart of York, although the entrance portico was rebuilt in the 19C.
