Born July 11, 1603, at Gayhurst in Buckinghamshire, and died June 11, 1665 in London. Sir Kenelm was an English courtier, philosopher, diplomat, and scientist of the reign of Charles I. Below his portrait there are various symbols representing his scientific and other interests.
