NOTES: The British Museum before it was the British Museum ! Montague House, the home of the Russell family was taken over to become the British Museum. The view shows the old house, demolished before the grand portico, colonnades and huge expansion took place in the 1840s.
CONDITION: Good, on wove paper with wide margins. There is some damage and minor tears to the margins, but all well outside the image area.
