NOTES: A very attractive imaginary architectural scene or capriccio, probably meant to be of Rome, with good colour. Shows a large arch, with figures in front. Published by the well known London printsellers Jas Whittle and R H Laurie, of 53 Fleet Street, possibly after a French original, the style also being somewhat earlier in date than the publication date.
CONDITION: Very good, the image area in good condition with one small abrasion, the outer margins of the paper have some folding and tears, the colour is believed to be mostly contemporary, possibly with some reinforcing.
