NOTES: Fountains Abbey. Misleadingly titled, "PART OF THE CLOISTERS" while it is actually a view of the river tunnels under the vaulted Lay Brother's Refectory/ Cellarium range. This wonderful monastic site is managed by The National Trust. A nice verdant view, before the Ancient Monuments Branch got their hands on it. Artist not identified, but very much in the manner of Francis Nicholson.
CONDITION: Very good, the colouring on this print is modern, but soft and pleasantly done.
